About the Fine Art Photography Awards (FAPA)
The Fine Art Photography Awards (FAPA) is an established global photo competition with a mission to celebrate fine art photography and discover emerging talent across both professional and amateur levels. With a panel of 19 international judges, FAPA honors artists who live and breathe visual creativity and offers them a platform for exposure and professional growth.
Each year, the competition showcases diverse perspectives and bold storytelling from across the world, so being recognized within this context is truly inspiring.

Inside the Shortlisted Works
The two shortlisted photographs reflect key themes I often explore through Boris Benko Fine Art Photography.
Quiet as a Fish presents a quiet, surreal tension—a moment suspended in silence and ambiguity. Meanwhile, Leafbound (a part of the Synthetic Dreams series) explores the interplay between nature and human form, symbolizing internal fragility, memory, and the longing for transformation.
Both pieces continue my focus on visual storytelling that explores identity, alienation, and the unseen emotional layers beneath the surface.
Fine Art Photography as a Journey
While most of my work is created in a studio setting, I remain deeply connected to broader themes and conceptual narratives. This recognition from FAPA motivates me to keep pushing boundaries in both technique and concept as I continue developing Boris Benko Fine Art Photography.
Thank you for following my journey. More work is coming soon, and I look forward to sharing it with you.
